Ganglia OS X Binaries

Ganglia is scalable cluster monitoring tool. Below is a build for Mac OS X (tested on Leopard 10.5.7 and 10.5.7 Server) Intel binary. There are two different packages. Gmond is the monitoring daemon to run on the nodes of interest (see Ganglia documentation for more details). Gmetad is the

Most files are installed under /usr/local. There are two exceptions. I have included LaunchDaemons scripts to automatically run daemons on startup (and after installation) and these are placed in /Library/LaunchDaemons. Also there is a php package for viewing the output of gmetad which I install in /Library/WebServer/Documents/ganglia. This means if you have the default settings enabled for OS X Server then Ganglia webpages will be accessible under localhost/ganglia.

The packages comes with no warranty of claim of fitness for a particular purpose. Use at your own risk. Ganglia is licensed under the BSD license. If this package is helpful or you have problems feel free to try emailing me but cannot promise to respond or help you although I may try. I am not affiliated with the Ganglia project.

I made some python scripts to help with building Mac installer packages which you access can here (on Launchpad).
